The Continental Hotel was renamed ‘The Grand Continental Hotel’ in about 1900.  It was then, in about 1909, again known as ‘The Continental Hotel.’  In about 1919 or 1920 it was renamed ‘The Continental-Savoy Hotel.’

Mena House Hotel became known as The Mena House Oberoi in 1975 after the Oberoi Group refurbished the hotel and began managing it.
