The district of Ghuria, in the Gamalia area of Cairo, was established by Sultan Abul Nasr Qansuh El-Ghuri, the last Mamluk Sultan. It is in close proximity to the Mosque of Hussein and Khan El-Khalili Market and was famous for tailors of special garments for the Sultans. This area includes many monuments from the time of the Fatimids, Ayyubids and Mamluks.
