Cheblanga is one of Egypt’s major villages, and is very old.  It has been mentioned in the old historical books dealing with the history of Egypt’s cities.  Its history is reported by Yaqout Al-Hamwi who stated that it was previously known as Shobra El-Banga.  In 1913 Cheblanga was joined with Benha since the two are in close proximity to each other.
