Type 4

The main feature of the Type IV cancellation is the presence of the words POSTE KHEDEUIE EGIZIANE (Khedivial Post of Egypt). Also, some Arabic characters were added to some of the cancellations to indicate the post office name. This fourth type was introduced in 1871 and remained in use until the 1880s. It was used in a limited number of offices, from which sub-types were issued and used in Upper Egypt and Sudan.  The diameters range from 24.5 mm to 26 mm.
