SIBAIYA

Al-Sibaiya is a city located in the far north of the governorate of Aswan in Arab Republic of Egypt. It is a gateway to the governorate of Qena. It is famous for its abundance of phosphate ore in the surrounding mountainous areas east and west of the Nile. There are many local mines where the phosphate ore is extracted.

Al-Sibaiya is also famous for its cultivation of sugar cane.
