Mina Elkamh

Minet El-Kamh is a city whose main economic activities include agriculture and trade, as well as some small-scale industries such as candy production and a spinning factory. It was an old village whose original name was Mona El-Kamh, and it contained grain stores. In 1813 its name was changed to Mina El-Kamh and it was located in El-Aziziya. The police station in El-Aziziyah was then moved to Mina El-Kamh in 1854 and renamed Mina El-Kamh Police Station. In 1871 Minet El-Kamh became a central district. Nowadays it is one of the most important cities in Egypt. Due to its strategic location on the Benha to Zagazig Agricultural Road, Minet El-Kamh has become an important center that attracts the inhabitants of neighboring villages. It provides various local services, such as water, drainage, and street paving, and is one of the most beautiful cities in Al-Sharqia governorate.
